Collpractices-circle.pngIntroductory video

The Alberta's Approach to Collaborative Practices... introductory video below is an introduction to the 11 principles of a wraparound approach that emerged from a literature review and comprehensive case studies in Alberta schools.

This introductory video below was developed to:

  • clearly articulate the foundational wraparound principles of Alberta's Approach to Collaborative Practices,
  • begin to build a common understanding of the foundational principles,
  • provide an opportunity for reflection on successes and challenges related to local supports and services for children, youth and their families,
  • inspire and engage schools and community partners as they collaborate to address the needs of vulnerable students and their families within the context of their school and community, and
  • build capacity for Collaborative Practices... based on wraparound principles between schools and their community partners.

The wraparound principles have been adapted from the National Wraparound Initiative, Research and Training Center on Family Support and Children's Mental Health, Portland State University.  (Accessed March 2011)
